"Concerned about the vigilante aspect"... bloggers "are making approving comments"

Those are words from a district attorney as members of vigilante groups orgasm over the slayings of two people forced to register on the public pillory. Vigilante groups like Evil-Unveiled, Mothers Against Pedophiles, and No Peace For Predators are already planning to send this dangerous killer money for his defense, but at least this dangerous homicidal maniac will be off the streets so he cannot kill again. This man claimed to have a "particular animus toward sex offenders." He was denied bail and charged with aggravated murder. I am against the death penalty but he will be eligible for the death penalty.

http://www.konp.com/local/7933

Clallam County Prosecutor Deb Kelly also said Monday she was "concerned about the vigilante aspect." She says bloggers "are making approving comments" about the killings.

Bloggers like Absolute Zero United.

Or No Peace for Predators.

Or Mothers Against Pedophiles.

And last and certainly least, Valerie "Valigator" Parkhurst:

It is beyond time the authorities investigate such groups. I wouldn't be surprised to find a connection between serial killer Patrick Drum and the above groups.

Memoir of a Deceptive Life: Roseann Zoggyie attacks activist citing a troll site as "relevant" info

Roseann Barr Zoggyie
I guess my expose on feminism will have to wait. For the moment, I need to take yet another Evil-Untruth supporter to task.

Meet Roseann Zoggyie of Salina, Kansas. Zoggyie thinks she's pretty educated. Well she does have a Master's degree from the prestigious Western Carolina University (What's a catamount, by the way?). But her field is GERONTOLOGY. You know, old people. So apparently working with old folks and others with developmental disabilities makes you an expert on everything?

Despite all that, that does not make her an expert on anything else. After all, when you base your opinion on the ramblings of the crazy people at Evil-Untruths (Evil-Unveiled), then you prove your lack of expertise.

So Zoggyie, mad because she was censored for her personal attacks on Paula Gloria for allowing me the chance to tell my story on her show, decided to post a hate-filled response (which she recently set to private, but will likely be removed altogether once Youtube processes the complaint), in which she attacks me personally using info from the Evil-Unveiled page, and includes my personal information. She thinks it is okay to attack me because she has a right to "inform people" that I somehow don't have a right to speak publicly.

It is funny how when a woman, especially one with a degree and thus assumed to be more intelligent than the uneducated fools at EU, will post an ad hominem video, filled with slander and personal info, based upon a gossip site, then complain that her victim would retaliate by raising awareness of a deluded wannabe-expert by collecting her personal info and publishing it. And oh, did she complain. By doing less than what she did to me, I'm accused of harassing her.

Speaking of her blog, she claims it is a blog about "forgiveness" and "redemption." I say bullshit. Forgiveness is not retaliating and attacking someone just because someone else accurately referred to her as a CUNT. Well since Zoggyie CAN'T UNDERSTAND NORMAL THINKING, I find the WOMAN (yes, a woman called her a cunt) who called Zoggyie a cunt was right on the money. And anyone who propagates the long debunked myth of Ritual Abuse (aka Satanic Panic) should have her sanity questioned (she claims to be a victim of "Ritual Abuse" while denying the accepted condition known as FALSE MEMORY SYNDROME, deriding it by callinng it False Memory SWORD, whatever that means). I believe she is the living example of False Memory Syndrome. See her insane posts about the False Memory Syndrome Foundation:

I noticed lately that there are searches on Google questioning what FMSwordF is. It stands for False Memory Syndrome Foundation. I choose not to spell syndrome because there is no such thing as FMS. I decided to go through the blog and put all of my research/posting on FMSwordF. Why I choose not to use the syndrome word is because there is absolutely no empirical evidence to support that there is a syndrome. I personally feel that FMSwordF played a large role in harming survivors of child ritual and sexual abuse. If you look into their background you will see that FMSwordF was started by parents accused of sexually abusing their child. You will also see that FMSwordF's advisory board has pedophiles on it and there were two prominent pedophiles on the original advisory board. When I found FMSwordF's connection to pedophilia this blog changed some of it's direction. Instead of just focusing on my surviving multiple traumas to outing FMSwordF's role in promoting the Normalization Of Pedophilia.

I decided to Google FMSwordF, as well as spelled out the phrase False Memory Sword Foundation. Anyone want to take a guess where the words lead? Just one person. One who flew over the cuckoo's nest.

She contradicts herself a lot. She uses the term pedophile for every sex crime yet denies later she sees all RSOs the same. She is a denier of the term "situational offender" but yet she posts an article describing the difference between a situational offender (she calls him a child molester) versus a pedophile. She wil cut and paste the medical definition of pedophilia yet will call someone over 18 who has sex with a 17 year old a pedophile. And she's accepted and promoted the DSM-V definition of pedophilic disorders even though the DSM-V has yet to be released and is still in the discussion stages.

The truth is Zoggyie is just another crazy woman playing the perpetual victim role to elicit sympathy. She stirs the hornet's nest and cries for sympathy when she gets stung, because people like her NEED that kind of attention. I hope she likes the attention she just got from this blog. Enjoy your new troll buddies at EU, they are in need of a gerontologist since their shit's getting old.

PS: I've heard so many threats of police and courts from people over the years, but AZUnites, and all my other sites, have been here for years and will be here after you come to terms with the fact that I fight back and will laugh at your idle threats, railings, and bitching, and post it online. Freedom of speech and the ability to post personal info works both ways, as well as that cyberstalking law you cut-and-paste but haven't read (police don't care about a flame war you started). If you can't take the heat, stay out of the kitchen.

Now, next up, the folly of the Occupy Patriarchy connection to online vigilante groups.

"Members of the group aren't professional investigators or law enforcement officers, but they are making serious accusations for anyone to read"

A Nashville-based citizen activist group is posting online the photographs and personal information of people whom the group accuses of being pedophiles. Many of the people on the site have never been charged with a sex crime.

"Members of the group aren't professional investigators or law enforcement officers, but they are making serious accusations for anyone to read."

"Do you worry that some of this information might be wrong, that you're putting the wrong people on the Web?" asked Channel 4 I-Team chief investigative reporter Jeremy Finley. Reply--"No, I don't."

"You know, at some point, you could be sued. You know someone could say, 'This isn't true,'" Finley said. "Absolutely," Victoria said.

Victoria said she knows the website where the information is revealed, hXXp://evilunveiled.com, is controversial.

The sentences above were from a Nashville new story on Evil-Unveiled, which gave a more reasoned account of Evil Unveiled. Unlike the fluff work of EU's Omaha story, the WSMV 4 station were more skeptical. Evil Unveiled are not trained professional investigators. Evil Unveiled knows lawsuits are coming and they are putting out inaccurate information, but they do not care. Most of their targets have never been convicted of a sex crime.

Evil Unveiled members were thrilled to be given air time but that feeling was short-lived, as their bullshit was exposed. The reporter saw them for the frauds they are. EU is NOT a group of professionals; their site is full of slander and lies; they make baseless accusations; and they don't care.

So now Cynthia Jean Dale-Harvey  (aka Trillian Dent) and fiends are up in arms. Cynthia is being defended by a fringe member of the misandrist-feminist movement seeking to undermine the Occupy Movement. I have touched on this fringe movement in another blog, and I will address this in a future post.

I suppose now this article exposing Evil Unveiled as a less than honest group of e-thugs will soon be blamed on misogyny. After all, a MAN wrote the article, and the Occupy Patriarchy crowd thinks men are bad.

In my next article, I will expose the link between FemiNAZIsm, the Occupy Patriarchy Movement, and fringe groups like "Evil Unveiled."

If you get off on thoughts of rape, that makes you a rapist

“You heard it was said, ‘Do not commit adultery,’ but I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman in order to covet her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.”

The infamous Jesus quote essentially means your thoughts are connected to your actions. It makes me wonder what members of Absolute Zero United members do behind closed doors. Apparently their favorite fantasy involves me and a rendition of Deliverance while in prison. But just like the movie Deliverance, their sick little fantasy is a complete work of fiction. It must really eat at them I went through prison without having to "fight or fuck". (I was never charged with forcible rape, either, by the way, but AZU is illiterate on top of being chickenshits).

Still, the thought of them getting off on the thought of a grown man getting raped is disturbing. Perhaps that is why other child advocates have nothing to do with them:

The AZU member, here hiding behind the generic screen name "Saul" gets off on prison rape. That's par for AZU/EU members. I love the comment about how prisoners are "not really humans." It reminds me of Nazi Propaganda. "Jews aren't really human, so do what you want to them." Any wonder why no one takes AZU seriously?

Yet Another Idiot Vigilante Thought Innocent Man Was Child Molester

Here is yet another prime candidate for idiot of the year. I wouldn't be surprised if he is a card carrying member of Absolute Zeroes.

Police: Vigilante Thought Innocent Man Was Child Molester

Fort Collins Man Accused Of Kidnapping, Assault

FORT COLLINS, Colo. -- A Fort Collins man faces kidnapping and assault charges after police said he abducted a man he apparently mistook for a child molester.
Brandon Benhamin Mau, 32, was arrested Tuesday afternoon by a SWAT team.
Investigators believe Mau threatened a man with a knife and forced him into his vehicle Monday on West Plum Street near Taft Hill Road, reported the Fort Collins Coloradoan.
Mau released the man at City Park. Police said the man sustained minor injuries from the knife.
Police found no basis for Mau’s claim that the victim was a molester, said Detective Jim Lenderts.
A SWAT team was called to arrest Mau because he has a criminal history, Lenderts said.
Mau was arrested without incident and booked on suspicion of first-degree kidnapping, second-degree assault, third-degree assault and felony menacing.
According to state court records, Mau was booked into the Larimer County Jail on a $250,000 bond.
Mau’s criminal history includes a 2009 arrest on a burglary charge involving assault or menacing, criminal mischief, felony menacing and possession of a dangerous weapon. He later accepted a plea agreement to possessing an illegal weapon and was sentenced to two years of probation, according to state court records.

The Big Lie

Tell a big enough lie long enough and people will believe it. -- Stitches 77

All this was inspired by the principle--which is quite true within itself--that in the big lie there is always a certain force of credibility; because the broad masses of a nation are always more easily corrupted in the deeper strata of their emotional nature than consciously or voluntarily; and thus in the primitive simplicity of their minds they more readily fall victims to the big liethan the small lie, since they themselves often tell small lies in little matters but would be ashamed to resort to large-scale falsehoods. It would never come into their heads to fabricate colossal untruths, and they would not believe that others could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously. Even though the facts which prove this to be so may be brought clearly to their minds, they will still doubt and waver and will continue to think that there may be some other explanation. For the grossly impudent lie always leaves traces behind it, even after it has been nailed down, a fact which is known to all expert liars in this world and to all who conspire together in the art of lying.
—Adolf Hitler , Mein Kampf, vol. I, ch. X[1]

If you tell a big enough lie and do it long enough, you can fool the ignorant masses to do believing damn near anything. Each of the groups and people targeted by this blog have not only bought the BIG LIE, they help propagate it. In the case of the closely knit groups tied to Absolute Zero United, the CREATE the BIG LIE.

The easiest way for Hitler to silence the Jews was to dehumanize them and blame them for everything under the sun, praying on the general fear and inorance of a people still recovering from WW1. AZU type groups attack by dehumanizing, comparing all opponents to "NAMBLA". Consider the following statement from Stitches 77:

Patty Wetterling's "crime" that drew the ire of AZU? She released an article calling for reforming sex offender laws. It is a common tactic to dehumanize someone by comparing them to the worst possible person out there. Ironically the man who made this technique popular is the the person most point to as the most evil person in history. This is the person AZU mimics the most, after all.

"These teens were caught having consensual relations with each other!
Quick, brand them as sex offenders, then deny we do it!"
Each group I tagged have done the same, exploiting the fear and ignorance of the populace for fame and fortune. People believe those lies, despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary. However, there will come a time when people begin to see through those lies and see the truth behind the Big Lie. For the Germans, it took utter humiliation and their misdeeds exposed for the world to see.
Thankfully, people are beginning to see the truth. Maybe that is why most of these groups, except the NCMEC, are considered fringe groups with few members and little support. Stand up to the BIG LIE and demand the truth.

Today's word lesson: hyperbole

hy·per·bo·le   [hahy-pur-buh-lee]
noun Rhetoric .
1.
obvious and intentional exaggeration.
2.
an extravagant statement or figure of speech not intended to be taken literally, as “to wait an eternity.”

Today's showcase is hyperbole. Hyperbole is an exaggerated statement. You see a lot of that on the AZU website or during those rare times the trolls venture from their little nests. See the following statement from Stitches 77, the queen of cognitive distortions:

AZU intentionally looks for the numbers that look the largest and run with it, despite having no references, only exaggerations. That is why armchair vigilantes cannot understand the complexity of statistics. Stats are college level courses. AZU consists of bored housewives with no credentials and no education. Sadly, so are many other so-called child victim advocates.

WHO claims 60 MILLION survivors? Besides AZU, just a handful of other misguided groups. Thankfully most people understand that as bullshit. When was AZU ever quoted as a legitimate reference? Answer: NEVER.

Logical Fallacies: The Weak Analogy

AZU hasn't been discussed here much any more. Quite frankly, they are no longer relevant, though they flounder with the same playbook like a noob Madden player who picks the Hail Mary pass over and over again. But they make plenty of good examples for studying logical fallacies.

Today's lesson is known as the "Weak Analogy:"

AZU argues because so-called "hard-core pedophile activists" and sex offender reformists share some common goals then they must be one and the same. The Black Panthers and Martin Luther King both shared some common goals like the eradication of discrimination against African-Americans, therefore MLK was a militant racist thug who believed in killing to get what he wants, right? According to AZU logic, the answer would be yes.

I don't follow NAMBLA, but facing the same general direction does not make "pro-pedo" groups and SO reformists the same. The terms pedophile and sex offender are not mutually exclusive terms, and the two groups are not mutually exclusive.

It is entirely possible for someone with ulterior motives to join a group contrary to their status in life. For example, Absolute Zero United has two repeat sex offenders in their dwindling group.

More on this fallacy below.

Weak analogy

Definition: Many arguments rely on an analogy between two or more objects, ideas, or situations. If the two things that are being compared aren't really alike in the relevant respects, the analogy is a weak one, and the argument that relies on it commits the fallacy of weak analogy.
Example: "Guns are like hammers—they're both tools with metal parts that could be used to kill someone. And yet it would be ridiculous to restrict the purchase of hammers—so restrictions on purchasing guns are equally ridiculous." While guns and hammers do share certain features, these features (having metal parts, being tools, and being potentially useful for violence) are not the ones at stake in deciding whether to restrict guns. Rather, we restrict guns because they can easily be used to kill large numbers of people at a distance. This is a feature hammers do not share—it would be hard to kill a crowd with a hammer. Thus, the analogy is weak, and so is the argument based on it.
If you think about it, you can make an analogy of some kind between almost any two things in the world: "My paper is like a mud puddle because they both get bigger when it rains (I work more when I'm stuck inside) and they're both kind of murky." So the mere fact that you can draw an analogy between two things doesn't prove much, by itself.
Tip: Identify what properties are important to the claim you're making, and see whether the two things you're comparing both share those properties.

If these groups do not advocate vigilante violence, then why...

Just a thought-- If these groups do not advocate vigilante violence, then why do they use so many violent images in their logos?

Two Pennsylvania dumbasses over-react to Facebook posting, beat innocent man

These stories are getting more common. Pretty soon it will be an every day occurrence. It is beyond time to abolish the registry and force better media standards.

Two Charged In Pa. Vigilante Attack

Updated: Saturday, 31 Mar 2012, 5:00 PM EDT
Published : Saturday, 31 Mar 2012, 5:00 PM EDT
READING, Pa. ( - Police in eastern Pennsylvania say a pair of neighbors viciously assaulted a man out for an evening walk in the mistaken belief he was stalking children.
Exeter Township police say the men charged Friday had overreacted to a Facebook post about a suspected child predator in the area.
Police say the 58-year-old victim was out for a walk on March 21 when he was violently confronted by Dennis Sinnott.
Authorities say neighbor Mark Eldredge saw the encounter and joined the attack. Eldredge had been driving around to distribute flyers about the alleged child stalker.
Police have since determined the suspected predator is actually a 76-year-old man who scavenges trash.
Eldredge faces charges including assault. Sinnott faces charges including harassment. Neither could be reached for comment.

Do the wrong thing: Celebrutard Spike Lee publishes wrong address and puts elderly couple in jeopardy

Americans are so stupid. THIS is why you don't try to take the law into your own hands. This may not be sex offender vigilante news but this IS vigilante scum news and why you should let the courts decide a case before you go around trying to get people killed.

Spike Lee to start his own franchise, the New York PRICKS.
Spike Lee, the racist/black supremacist prick who is more damaging to race relations than the KKK, decided he wanted to encourage a little street justice. Just one problem, his little pea brain did not verify the address first:

It was verified by the twits at twitter. That's good enough for Lee!

Turns out this address belonged to some elderly couple (it's Florida, what do you expect?) and they were run out of their homes by vigilante thugs who are whipped up in a feeding frenzy. Oops.

And Right now, Jaleel White is living in fear hoping he's not confused for Spike Lee
by the people wanting to kick Spikey's punk ass

Nothing a little money cannot fix, huh? The lesson for today? Vigilante violence is never a good idea. What more do you expect from a dumbass who publishes the wrong address. That is why I never published an address (trust me AZU, I HAVE most of your home addresses).

OC prison vigi gets 15 to life for jail beating

I've always wondered why prison inmates think they are somehow just when in jail for terrorizing others. I'm sure the vigi sites will orgasm over this case, but at least the douchebags responsible for this murder are facing justice.

Man gets 15-to-life for jail-beating death

BY VIK JOLLY / THE ORANGE COUNTY REGISTER

SANTA ANA – One of several men convicted in the beating death of an Orange County jail inmate mistakenly believed to be a child molester was sentenced Wednesday to 15 years to life in prison for his role in the 2006 attack in the Theo Lacy branch jail.
Stephen Paul Carlstrom, 43, of Anaheim, kicked John Chamberlain during the attack and was convicted of second-degree murder.
Prosecutors said inmates who participated in the beating targeted Chamberlain because they believed he was a child molester. Chamberlain had been awaiting trial on a misdemeanor charge of possessing child pornography.
He was punched, kicked and stomped on and eventually lost consciousness. He was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The beating, which triggered several investigations, occurred about 68 feet from where one Orange County sheriff's deputy admitted he was watching "COPS" on television and was dogged by allegations – that were never proven – of deputies helping to set up the Oct. 5, 2006 attack.
"The victim was a captive" with no place to hide, Superior Court Judge James Stotler said at the sentencing.
Also convicted Oct. 25 of second-degree murder were Garret Eugene Aguilar, 29, of Anaheim; Jared Louis Petrovich, 28, of Tustin; Miguel Angel Guillen, 48, of Santa Ana; and Raul Villafana, 25, of Santa Ana.
Carlstrom deserved the sentence he got, Deputy District Attorney Ebrahim Baytieh said after the sentencing.
"There's no doubt in our view he was one of the leaders and part of his job was to check on why Chamberlain was in jail," the prosecutor said.
After the slaying, Carlstrom bragged to an inmate that society should be thankful for the murder of a "chester," Baytieh said.
"One kick is not murder," Carlstrom's attorney Fred Thiagarajah argued at trial, saying that's all his client did to the victim, a contention challenged by prosecutors.
Thiagarajah said Wednesday his client, who was in jail at the time for drug possession, had already gotten beaten by inmates for not following orders and was forced to act.
"This whole case is one tragedy within another tragedy," he said. "The first tragedy could have been avoided by jailers doing their jobs" and the other his client being in jail simply for possession of drugs.
Three other men — Michael Stewart Garten, 26, of Santa Ana; Christopher Teague, 35, of Long Beach; and Jeremy Dezso Culmann, 28, of Corona — pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter last year.
Garten was given 11 years in prison, but will serve a 20-year term because of additional convictions for extortion and drug-related crimes. Teague and Culmann each got 15 years.
Another co-defendant, Eric Charles Miller, 26, of Huntington Beach, is charged with one felony count of murder and faces a maximum sentence of 25 years to life in prison if convicted.
A grand jury probe concluded that the beating death grew out of an institutionalized culture that allowed inmates to run the jails while deputies watched television and slept at times.

Bryan Oei puts the "bull" in Trumbull

Bryan Oei

This is Brian Oei, who decided to take it upon himself to get arrested for harassing a registrant. Granted, this is minor compared to vigilante reports I've seen here, but since he decided he wants his 15 minutes of fame, he'll get 15 minutes of shame on this blog. Enjoy. Not sure which person in the pic is Brian, is it the one on the left?

http://www.ctpost.com/policereports/article/Cops-Man-taunted-sex-offender-3410453.php

TRUMBULL -- A local man, who doesn't want a sex offender living in his neighborhood, was arrested after police said he taunted a twice-convicted sex offender outside the offender's home.
Bryan Oei, 19, of Primrose Drive, was charged with trespassing and disorderly conduct. He was released after posting $500 bond pending arraignment in Superior Court on March 22.
According to police, on Wednesday Joseph Kallay, who has twice been convicted of sex-related charges and is on the Connecticut Sex Offender Registry, complained that he was being taunted by Oei, who he did not know.
Police said Kallay told them he had received a telephone call from Oei who said he knew Kallay was a convicted sex offender and referred to Kallay as being a "Rape O."
Police continued that sometime later Kallay got a knock on his door and when he opened he was confronted by Oei who began taking photographs of him. When Kallay told Oei to leave, Oei responded," What if I don't, are you going to rape me?" police said.
Kallay then called police.
Oei was arrested a short distance from Kallay's home.

It wasn't enough this punk got caught doing this, he bragged about his crime on his TWITTER account:

Looking at this guy's twitter account, it is obvious he's mentally disturbed. Maybe it is just the weed.

None of this will men anything a couple of months from now when you are paying for your crimes.

Valerie Parkhurst finds a lesbian misandrist lover in Cynthia Dale Harvey

Vali-gay-tor claims a couple of county commissioners who pass sex offender restrictions are in the background. I guess this must have been taken WHILE IN SESSION, that'd explain their stupidity.
It has been long overdue, but Valerie "Valigator" Parkhurst of Crazie Davie is finally getting a segment here by popular demand. Who is Valerie Parkhurst? She's a long time troller of sex offender topics. For many years she gets on her computer late nights, drunk as a skunk, and comment on every sex offender subject she can find. She's pretty paranoid too, claiming every person who disagrees with her is a "minuteman/woman" (apparently NOT to be confused with the Minute Maid she uses to mix in her alcohol).

My computer can process only so much ugly, hence, the pixelation.
Valerie is a woman with a violent past. She was arrested for pulling a gun on a registrant she was harassing, but like most vigilante scumbags in Florida, she got away with it. Emboldened by Florida's lack of initiative, Valerie boasts of harassing registrants on a regular basis, both online and off.

I'd be more grand if they punished people like Vali-cat.
Valerie found a new buddy in Cynthia Jean Dale-Harvey, the BSDM sadist from Evil-Unveiled. I guess Val found her a little drinking buddy. They might even make a great lesbian couple, but Harvey will have to play the chick since Val has the Butch look down pat.
And I suppose members of a group of wackos like EU have never done the same.
Geez, get a fucking room.

Yeah they make a great pair. I wonder if Cynthia hates Hispanics as much as Vali-cat does?

I wish Val would go back where she came from and give my ancestral home back to me
People who hate one group tends to hate others as well. It is no secret excessive hate makes you ugly. Well, they don't get much uglier than Valerie Parkhurst. Hey Vali-Gay-tor, if you want to come out of the closet, there's no shame in that. This isn't the 1980s and it is more acceptable now, so don't be shy. Quit being a self-loather and accept it.

'It just makes me happy when I can make someone angry'

I'd rather cut whoever wrote this.
"It just makes me happy when I can make someone angry. It sounds weird but I kind of feed off their anger. The angrier I can get them, the better I feel. I'd feel responsible but I wouldn't care. I've pretty much lost all hope for humanity anyway, I don't believe that anything can save people."

This quote could be found on Perverted Justice, No Peace For Predators, Mothers Against Pedophiles, Valigator, Absolute Zero United, Evil-Unveiled, or the other cyber-stalkers I have posted here. But this was from an Australian article that is worth a read.

http://www.news.com.au/technology/it-just-makes-me-happy-when-i-can-make-someone-angry-a-special-investigation-into-the-dark-world-of-trolling/story-e6frfro0-1226278282934

'It just makes me happy when I can make someone angry' - A special investigation into the dark world of trolling

  • news.com.au
  • February 28, 201212:10PM

  • BEN spends up to 70 hours a week on the internet getting high on other people's anger and despair.
The unemployed 19-year-old from Victoria - who spoke to news.com.au on the condition of anonymity - doesn't go out much and doesn't have many real friends, but he doesn't feel alone. He believes he's part of a community of similar-minded people who scour the web looking for pages to vandalise and lives to upset.
Ben (not his real name) first started trolling in 2008 on the online forum 4Chan.
His first act was innocuous enough: he weighed in on a discussion about religion and claimed to have disproved everything people had written.
Since then his trolling has become more vicious and destructive.
"It just makes me happy when I can make someone angry. It sounds weird but I kind of feed off their anger. The angrier I can get them, the better I feel," he told news.com.au.
He usually only trolls a post or website once before moving, not out of any sense of decency, but because he is scared of being arrested.
He said the worst thing he ever did was vandalise the Facebook memorial page of a young girl who had committed suicide. "I wrote, 'How's it hanging guys'."
He doesn't feel any remorse, and strangely doesn't consider his actions bullying despite claiming he probably wouldn't have started trolling if he had not been bullied at school.
    IT'S HOT IN HELL
"I'd feel responsible but I wouldn't care. I've pretty much lost all hope for humanity anyway, I don't believe that anything can save people," he said.
Ben and the hundreds of thousands like him reflect the dark side of the internet. They believe themselves to be cultural critics, indulging in harmless fun, but RIP trolling is one of the most destructive and harmful forms of trolling. It mocks and exploits the pain of those grieving the loss of loved ones. It ranges from the sort of distasteful comment Ben posted to plastering pages with photoshopped pictures of babies in meat grinders or hardcore pornography.
Last year Bradley Paul Hampson became the first Australian to be jailed for it. He plastered the Facebook tribute pages of two slain schoolchildren with child pornography, an act the judge described as depraved.
In the UK, one of the most infamous RIP trolls, Sean Duffy, was sentenced several months later for persecuting on Facebook four families of dead children. On one girl's memorial page he wrote: "Help me mummy, It's hot in Hell."
But trollers like Ben and Hampson may not be just hurting their victims.
Cyber-researcher Karyn Krawford claims that extreme trolling may be a sign of mental ill-health.
Ms Krawford said she had done studies which showed the empathy of mental health sufferers decreased for every hour they spent online.
    LACKING EMPATHY
"This lack of empathy caused people to become emotionally immune and desensitised to images they're not seeing in real life," she said.
In one study, subjects displayed a complete lack of empathy when shown images of people dying. "They couldn't see how much that person was hurting; they couldn't see the cut off arm or the pain and distress and terror.
"As a consequence they were able to make these remarks and express these bullying type behaviours."
Twenty-three-year-old stay-at-home mother Sarah, from South Australia, is one such bully. For years she limited her trolling to snarky posts on the parenting website BabyMama.org, reserving her vitriol for discussions about breastfeeding and vaccinations.
But last month her actions spiralled out of control and she started actively bullying other users. Sarah set up a Facebook page belittling another mother that had posted near naked pictures of herself on the website.
"She started getting negative replies and deleted the pictures but I saved the pictures and uploaded them to a Facebook group where she was humiliated," she said.
Sarah quickly apologised and deleted the photos after other users criticised her actions and the site threatened her with expulsion.
"I randomly targeted a lady for no reason, humiliated her for no reason - just to be a bitch. Looking back now it was petty. I'm one of those remorseful trolls, I suppose."
Sarah, like Ben, attributed her trolling to years of bullying she suffered at school. "I dropped out of school in year nine," she said. "I suppose I'm an asshole to people because I’m carrying all this spitefulness around with me. I hurt people."
Sydney student James admits he has problems switching from the "vicious but joking troll" persona on gaming sites to "James the nice guy" elsewhere.
"On gaming sites, if you don’t troll you’re pretty much seen as someone who is sucking up to the site moderators," he said.
And he has no shame when it comes to trolling. "If the person I was trolling was from a poorer area, maybe I'd say something like 'How does it feel having no future knowing you're from that area'," he said.
"It's just my mentality to make it personal and a lot of people take things way too seriously – especially on social networking sites."
    POWER OF THE WEAKLING
Psychologists have long attributed bad behaviour online to "deindividuation" - the feeling people get when they think they are anonymous.
"Social distance can cause a 55-year-old climate change sceptic with a job and a mortgage to behave like a spastic donkey with strange malicious behaviour," said researcher James Heathers, of the University of Sydney.
He said the quality of online conversations in general seemed to be worsening by the day, and had now turned into a competition to see who can yell "urrgggh lame" the loudest.
"There's no turn-taking, or reacting like there is in face-to-face communication," he said. "The conversational structure is completely broken and there’s no thoughtful consideration of issues."
Psychiatrist Dr Tanveer Ahmed said people who troll may well feel a sense of regret, guilt or shame afterwards but mostly they rationalise their behaviour.
“It's a bit like the day after a big party - a part of you could be filled with regret but most of you is like, 'I was off my face, I'm giving myself a pass'."
He said that people don't feel the need to moderate their behaviour when they were online.
"The ability to say 'hi how's it going' to people we dislike helps us function in society, but that facade isn’t required online and often the first thoughts that come to mind – thoughts that would be unacceptable in other forums – are the first ones we bang up into a comment section on the web."
He said a sense of power was important to how people behaved online. "You're far more likely to be a troll if you’re a relative weakling elsewhere," he said.
"The internet is kind of a Wizard of Oz type setting, where people can feel big, whereas in another social setting they can be, well, pissheads frankly."
    MEET THE TROLLS
    BEN
    - "It just makes me happy when I can make someone angry. It sounds weird but I kind of feed off their anger. The angrier I can get them, the better I feel. I'd feel responsible but I wouldn't care. I've pretty much lost all hope for humanity anyway, I don't believe that anything can save people."
    SARAH
