PA police say they don't condone vigilante groups like S. Central PA Child Predator Exposure, but they aren't being arrested

If past evidence from the numerous articles I've posted is any indication, this group is either full of convicted criminals or they are distributing pictures of a questionable nature themselves.

Vigilante Facebook group targets sex offenders; local man facing charges

MT. HOLLY SPRINGS, Pa. (WHTM) - Brandi Lehrian is on a mission to expose child sexual predators.

"We have exposed about 31 guys," she said.

Brandi is the founder of the South Central Child Predator Exposure group on Facebook. Volunteers with the group pose as underage girls on social media apps like Whisper, Kik and Facebook in hopes of catching child predators. They wait for the person to contact them first.

"Once they become sexual and they agree to meet, we meet them and expose them," said Brandi.

The group will then post the video to its page and to a YouTube channel to publicly shame the men.

Keith Linzey, 43, was recently featured on the group's website. He went to a gas station thinking he was meeting a 15-year-old girl. Instead, Brandi and another volunteer were there to meet him with their cell phone camera rolling.

"My goal is to bring awareness to everybody, to know who is out there and what they are doing and try to get them arrested and get them off the streets," said Brandi.

Mount Holly Springs police received an anonymous tip about the video featuring Linzey.

"At that point, we just went and knocked on the door just to see if he would talk to us about the anonymous tips. He freely admits the whole thing," said Andrew Wolfe, a detective for the Mt. Holly Springs Police Department.

Police could not charge Linzey with attempting to meet a 15-year-old girl since there was no real victim and it was not a sting by law enforcement, but while Wolfe was at the home, he discovered child pornography on Linzey's cell phone.

"He had some very deep sexual demons in his mind. It is not OK. He cannot be on the street," said Wolfe.

While they are glad he is off the street, police don't necessarily support what the group is doing.

"I would say that they are treading a very thin line. They could get shot," said Wolfe.

"They have said to us that we are vigilantes. They are afraid we are going to get hurt, which I understand, but to me, kids' safety is more important than my own," said Lehrian

Brandi says she's not done exposing child predators.

"I have at least 40 people in my phone right now," she said.

Linzey has been charged with one count of possession of child pornography. Police say it is an ongoing investigation and more charges are expected.

Idiots in Ireland & the UK are wanting their registries to be made public. These vigilante scumbags are the reason why

Vigilante douche George Keenan did not like a dose of his own medicing
The BBC exposed a few of these scumbags. It is amazing that any loser believes that these pathetic excuses of humanity are "heroes." Al they have proven, however is that vigilantes are all cowards yet they are prone to violence. Sharon Shanks and George Keenan are among those exposed as filthy scumbags in this BBC report. By the way, one of these vigilante scumbags has been arrested and will be prosecuted, with more to follow. Round these thugs up!

Self-styled 'paedophile hunters' revealed
By Kevin Magee
BBC News NI investigations correspondent

Some of the leaders of self-styled paedophile-hunting groups operating in Northern Ireland have been identified for the first time.

There are increasing concerns about the methods many of the groups use, and their lack of accountability.

The so-called paedophile-hunting groups target people online who they believe are sexual predators.

They confront them and broadcast the encounter live on the internet, then call the police.

There have been more than 100 incidents of that nature reported to police in Northern Ireland, but no-one has been charged as a result and there have been no convictions.

Former senior police officer and child protection expert Jim Gamble warned that some of the tactics used by the groups are criminal.

"Anyone live streaming these incidents is not about the justice of catching someone who represents a threat to children," he said.

"They are about the self-publicity and the self-centred approach about themselves, much more than about making children safer."

All of the groups keep their identities hidden.

'On whose authority?'

BBC News NI approached two of the people involved in setting up the "hunting groups" in Northern Ireland to ask them for an interview.

Sharon Shanks, from south Belfast, is behind the group called Justice Reborn Northern Ireland and she uses the alias Chelsea Lewis.

Ms Shanks declined to do an interview, saying in an online message that she was unhappy that "journalists and news stations have so far called the hunting groups vigilantes".

"Our identity we keep to ourselves so meeting isn't an option," she said.

During one confrontation that she posted live online, Ms Shanks is overheard using explicit offensive language and threats of violence against a man who came across the scene.

When approached by the BBC just after she had broadcast other live footage on Facebook of herself interrogating a man she had alleged was a paedophile, Ms Shanks refused to answer our questions.

We wanted to ask about the methods her secret group used, and on whose authority she had been detaining people who she believed to be paedophiles.

She declined to answer any questions.

Instead, Ms Shanks pulled on a scarf and was driven way at speed.

There are up to 10 different, self-appointed paedophile hunting groups operating in Northern Ireland.

Often they are in competition with one another, but sometimes they join forces.

'Won't answer questions'

One of those who introduced the concept of "paedophile hunting" to Northern Ireland is 34-year-old Belfast man George Keenan.

He uses the alias James SJ O'Neill and was linked to a group calling itself Silent Justice.

One of his targets last August was a man in County Antrim.

Two days after he was confronted, the man took his own life.

His family said they wanted to maintain a dignified silence.

Mr Keenan recently had a public falling out with other paedophile hunting groups in England and, in an expletive filled video, issued various threats of physical violence against them on Facebook.

Mr Keenan declined a request for an interview using his own name and identity.

BBC News NI approached him in west Belfast to ask him on whose authority he was confronting people he thought were paedophiles.

When asked if any of his actions resembled those of a vigilante, he replied: "Are you serious? Get out of my sight, leave me alone.

"Stay away from anybody that I have previously worked with.

"You are harassing people, I am not here to answer your questions.

"You are absolutely disgusting. Get out of my space right now."

Later the same day, Mr Keenan led a group of people to confront BBC investigations reporter Kevin Magee in a coffee shop in Belfast.

Mr Keenan claimed he had been able to mobilise more than a dozen people from various paedophile hunting groups.

For a short time they blocked off Botanic Avenue and published the episode online.

Eyewitness account: 'Terrible, outrageous behaviour'

A mother-of-two has told of her terror when her home was mistakenly surrounded by a group of masked paedophile hunters.

The self-appointed gang surrounded the house in the Springfarm estate in Antrim in January, claiming that a paedophile was living there.

But the group had made a mistake - they had picked the wrong house.

The 34-year-old woman, who asked not to be named, said she was "absolutely terrified" when members of the gang approached her home.

Her 66-year-old mother and two young children, aged seven and three, were in the house with her.

"A crowd of people got out of cars and they started banging and kicking at my front door - one of the women was screaming," she said.

"They were all saying there was a paedophile in the house, but there was no man in the house, just me, my kids and my mother.

"It was terrible, it really was outrageous behaviour - we felt really intimidated.

"One of the children was hiding under the bed and my mother was petrified and shaken afterwards.

"Now she doesn't want to leave the house."

The woman had only recently moved into the house.

'Job for police'
Neighbourhood watch co-ordinator Seamus Davis went to the house when he heard the commotion.

He said: "There were three or four cars full of people.

"I said: 'Look you're in the wrong place' - and they called me a paedophile lover.

"I told them I hate paedophiles as much as anybody else, but this way you are doing is totally wrong - this is a job for the police.

"You are behaving like a bunch of vigilantes."

FACEBOOK POLICY ALLOWS DEATH THREATS AGAINST REGISTERED CITIZENS (In fact, it seems to encourage them)

In light of the New York Times story that came in my newsfeed [“Facebook, Free Expression and the Power of a Leak”], I decided to explore the issue of Facebook little further. The New York Times piqued my interest by adding a link to an article from The Guardian newspaper [Revealed: Facebook's internal rulebook on sex, terrorism and violence]. Through this article, I was able to find that The Guardian has published the rulebook for determining what constitutes a “credible threat of violence” on Facebook [Facebook's manual on credible threats of violence].

This policy information is important to know because FB is filled with vigilante groups, many of them have been featured on this particular blog over the years, including vigilante biker gangs, online hate groups, and individuals organizing to cause harm to registered citizens. However, it is apparent from the leaked reports that only a small number of individuals are actually protected by Facebook. In fact, only a handful of people are considered “vulnerable persons” that are protected from speech a moderator might consider a “credible threat of violence.”

Vulnerable persons include: heads of state, next in line for head of state, candidates for head of state, specific law enforcement officers, witnesses and informants, people with a history of assassination attempts, people listed as targets on hit lists created by banned dangerous organizations, activists, journalists, homeless people, foreigners, Zionists, and in the Philippines, drug users and dealers.

According to the Facebook manual, posting “someone shoot Trump” should be removed, but telling people to “kick a person with red hair” or “snap a bitch’s neck, make sure to apply all your pressure to the middle of her throat” is completely allowed. Also, based credible threat of violence is expected to include an “achievable time.” Plus, statements that include “next time I see you,” “sooner or later,” or specific time frames should also be removed, but we know that’s rarely the case. In addition, certain groups could be considered vulnerable by region. Facebook warns moderators to also eliminate threats against vulnerable targets, outing affiliation, singling out targets, aggregating targets, and calling for street justice depending on the region. Also, accompanying a threat with a picture of a firearm supposedly violence Facebook policy as well.

Perhaps the most damning evidence of all that Facebook allows vigilante violence to be advocated on their website is in the section of “non-credible threats.” Included in this list of non-credible threats is, “advocating for capital were cruel and unusual punishment for crimes Facebook recognizes.” Next to this statement is a text bubble saying “hang child molesters.” They use another example of non-credible threats of violence on the next page, with another text bubble saying, “Pedophiles are going to experience the electric chair! They deserve it anyway!!”

Since this is directly from Facebook’s hidden policy on removing credible threats of violence, the strong implication here is that Facebook advocates violence against registered citizens because they don’t consider us a vulnerable class of people. To use threats against registered citizens as an example of what is allowed on Facebook shows the indifference that Facebook employees have against many other unpopular groups of people as well. This should be a huge cause of alarm for those of us in the anti-registry movement who rely on Facebook for expressing their First Amendment rights.

I personally believe that the only way this is going to change is through a lawsuit. For far too long, Facebook has been deleting the accounts of registered citizens while allowing hate groups like those profiled on AZUnites to proliferate, recruit, and continue to operate online. There’s no telling how many vigilante attacks have occurred because of this. And, in light of the recent Packingham case, the rights of registered citizens should be taken more seriously by Facebook, who should already have a great responsibility of protecting the rights of all of its users. More and more, news media outlets are turning to Facebook only commenting as the way to share ideas among viewers. Even my recent interview with Ashleigh Banfield was a Facebook only comment section. Thus, like it or not, the ability to respond to, to advocate, or to express a dissenting opinion requires a Facebook account in many instances. And registered citizen should be able to express their viewpoints without fear of reprisal from online vigilante thugs. The question is, who has the resources and is willing to take on this challenge?

If anyone is willing to accept my challenge, I am more than happy to share the information that I have gathered over the years as part of any litigation against Facebook. I have taken it upon myself to collect as much information as possible on numerous vigilante groups across the country. Obviously, much of that information can be found on this blog, but much of it I have not posted publicly because many were direct threats against me. Thus, in the event somebody actually sues Facebook, feel free to contact me at iamthefallen1@yahoo.com.

Alaskan Vigilante THUG and career criminal Jason Vuckovich attacked three registrants. So why did it take so long to get a Mugshot out?

That's a good question. It took a couple of weeks to get one out. He attempted to kill 3 folks but at most he's facing 30 years. He needs life without parole.

Man charged with assaulting 3 in Anchorage after finding addresses on sex-offender registry
Author: Tegan Hanlon   Updated: July 28   Published July 27

A man charged with using a hammer to attack a registered sex offender in Anchorage last month now faces additional charges for assaulting two other men listed on the public sex-offender registry.

According to a recent bail memorandum, Jason Vukovich, a self-styled "avenging angel" according to one of the victims, carried a notebook with a list of names, including Charles Albee, Andres Barbosa and Wesley Demarest. Over five days in June, he entered the homes of the three men, uninvited, and hit them, sometimes with his fists and sometimes with a hammer. He also stole from them, said the bail memorandum signed by assistant district attorney Patrick McKay.

Vukovich told police that he targeted his victims based on their listings on Alaska's sex-offender registry, the memo says. The online registry includes their home addresses, employer addresses and convictions.

Police found Vukovich and his notebook inside of a gray Honda Civic early June 29 shortly after police said he attacked Demarest with a hammer. Vukovich was arrested and taken to the Anchorage jail where he remained Wednesday, nearly a month later. He faces 18 charges for assault, robbery, burglary and theft.

In an interview earlier this month, Demarest said his attacker called himself the "avenging angel" for children hurt by abusers.

A letter from jail

Vukovich's attorney declined to comment on the case earlier this month, but in a two-page letter signed in pencil and sent from jail a week ago, Vukovich said he himself suffered physical and sexual abuse at the hands of his adoptive father.

Vukovich wrote in the letter that he could not talk about the current charges he faced, but expressed shame and regret about some of his past behavior. He wrote about his father who adopted, beat and molested him as a child.

"After this adoption took place, I was beaten with 2x4s custom made for the purpose of inflicting pain or belts etc.," he wrote. "Also, I suffered through repeated molestation at his hands."

Vukovich identified his adoptive father as Larry Lee Fulton. A 1989 Anchorage Daily News article said a Larry Lee Fulton was found guilty of second-degree abuse of a minor but received only a three-year suspended sentence from then-Superior Court Judge Karl Johnstone. Johnstone ordered Fulton to stay away from his victim, who was unnamed. Vukovich wrote that Fulton "returned immediately to the home and isolated me out in Wasilla."

A court document filed by Vukovich's attorney in an earlier criminal case also details his childhood of abuse and molestation by "Mr. Fulton."

"What I can say at this time is that after being physically and mentally abused by a predator, my life was forever changed," Vukovich wrote in the letter. "I literally gave my own existence no value or concern. I became a thief and a liar and went on to make many poor choices throughout my life."

In closing his letter, Vukovich wrote that children "should be able to play in the streets and parks and go to church without the threat of pedophiles lingering around them."

"My own heart may have been broken long ago," he wrote, "but with all my being I support every child in pursuit of their dreams."

In asking for strict bail conditions this week, the prosecutor noted that Vukovich has been convicted for a string of charges including fraud, theft, possession of a controlled substance and assault. Vukovich most recently got out of jail on June 24. Police say he assaulted Albee the next day.

Three assaults

About 9:30 a.m. June 25, Albee answered a knock on his door and an unknown man walked in, according to the bail memorandum against Vukovich. The intruder told Albee to sit on his bed and slapped him in the face multiple times. He said he was there because Albee was a registered sex offender. Albee said the man had a notebook with a list of names, the bail memorandum says.

Albee was convicted in 2003 of second-degree abuse of a minor, according to the registry.

The intruder stole items from Albee's home and left, the prosecutor's memo says. Albee described him as a white man with shoulder-length dark hair who wore a black leather jacket and baseball cap, according to the memo.

Within 48 hours, Barbosa answered a knock on his door in South Anchorage about 4 a.m. on June 27. A white man in a dark jacket and baseball cap asked if his name was "Barbosa." When he said yes, the man threatened him with a hammer. The man entered his home with two women, the memo says.

"The male made Barbosa sit in a chair and told him he was there because of Barbosa's crimes," the memo says. "The man called him a 'pedophile,' punched Barbosa in the face several times, threatened to 'bash in his dome' with the hammer, and stated that he was there to collect what Barbosa owed."

Barbosa was convicted of a charge brought in 2014 of possession of child pornography, according to the sex-offender registry. The charges against Vukovich say that Vukovich and one of the women stole several items from Barbosa's apartment, including his truck, while the other woman recorded it on her cellphone.

Then, on June 29 around 1 a.m., Demarest woke up to his roommate alerting him that someone had just smashed their Spenard home's window. A man with shoulder-length hair and a black leather jacket stood behind the roommate with a hammer, ordering him to leave, the memo says.

[Anchorage man says an attacker who called himself the 'avenging angel' broke into his home and assaulted him with a hammer]

The man told Demarest to get down on his knees and lie on the bed. When Demarest didn't comply, the man hit him in the head with a hammer, knocking him unconscious. He stole several items, including a laptop computer, and left.

In 2006, Demarest was convicted of attempted sexual abuse of a minor.

Demarest woke up in a pool of blood on June 29. His roommate had called 911. Soon, police found Vukovich nearby, in his car with another person, a notebook, a hammer and several stolen items. The names of Albee, Barbosa and Demarest were all listed in the notebook, the memo says.

Vukovich's next court appearance is scheduled for Thursday afternoon.

Neighborhood protest against Registered Citizen in Cali creates more problems than they solve

Recently, the LA Times ran an article entitled, "California’s laws test whether sexual predators can ever be rehabilitated," which covers the story of the release of the man who has been given a scary name by the media, the 'Pillowcase Rapist." Now, I remember after my appearance on the Dr. Drew show in April 2014 on this subject, even some within the cause questioned why I would "defend" such a man. I don't defend this man's past; my argument was since this man was deemed worthy of release by the civil commitment system, I want this registrant to have a fair opportunity to become a productive member of society. Whether you like the idea of such a high profile candidate to be free, this is the reality.

Now, almost two years later, the man I had to defend on the Dr. Drew show is making headlines by virtue of his label. He was released into a home in July 2014, and has remained there ever since. Within a month, neighbors established a round-the-clock protest, harassing the man, shouting obscenities, and leaving effigies around the home. This is all petty and nonsensical behavior more suited from FlorIDIOTS rather than folks from the land of the "happy cows."

And so, the vigilante thugs have eld a non-stop harassment campaign for over a year now:

Ever notice the majority of vigilantes are fat, white, middle aged and lower economic status-types?

Here is a disturbing effigy left by one of the vigilante thugs.

Another vigi-scum shouting obscenities.
There is something deeply disturbing about all this kind of behavior. According to the LA Times piece, vigilantes have--

  1. Convinced a water company to stop deliveries to the house
  2. Made anonymous death threats
  3. Shouted insults like, "No one in this world loves you" and made references to the man's dead mother.
  4. Held a protest in front of the house complete with a grill-out and a raffle.
  5. Driven by the house at 3:00 am and honk their horns.
  6. Trespassed on the property
  7. Placed disturbing signs and effigies around the house.
Of course, while it makes all these self-righteous pricks feel good, it may make their target more likely to reoffend. “To have people outside your house every single day, screaming the most obscene, threatening, violent things at you, would wear on anybody’s soul,” said Christopher Yuen, a deputy public defender in Santa Clara County. If this man is truly "likely to reoffend," then I imagine the constant harassment isn't going to help this guy stay on the straight and narrow.

To me, this is just another reason why sex offender laws should be largely repealed. Every person, no matter the case that landed him or her in jail, should have a fair chance upon release to be a productive member of society. And yes, this guy is a repeat offender so it is harder to defend. But at the same time, we have a judicial process that determined he was ready to be released, and I want this guy to succeed rather than fail. Do you?

New disgusting wannabe vigilante group desperately tries to bring back the death penalty

Apparently there is yet another scumbag wannabe vigilante group advocating the death penalty for those on the registry. This group is called "Sex offender Updates," and they are trying to push state-sponsored murder of registered citizens

At the moment, it is unclear who runs this shitty website. One of the cardinal rules for being an online wannabe vigilante, after all, is to hide in an anonymous hole like a coward. And any organization citing any of the other groups listed here, like Absolute Zero United or Evil Unveiled, is obviously an invalid resource. And guess what? Their address, Sex Offender Updates, 4733 Torrance Blvd., Suite 712, Torrance, CA 90503-4100, is a private PO Box rental company.

Where the money goes: The "headquarters" of SexoffenderUpdates.com
Among their goals:

  • Keep the public updated about the sex offenders in their area
  • Create community networks of concerned, passionate and active citizens
  • Advocate for tough, appropriate laws governing sex crimes and offenders
  • Oppose efforts by sex offenders and their advocates to weaken laws and eliminate sex offender registries

So anyways, this group wants to repeal the US Supreme Court decision of Kennedy v. Louisiana, allowing execution of people convicted of sex crimes. Thankfully this has only gotten 178 shares. So much for this being unanimous. The only thing I can agree on is that Justice Kennedy used faulty reasoning by relying on what he felt was a "general consensus," but unlike Sex Offender Updates, I feel the problem was Kennedy relied on the consensus rather than the Constitution.

To my knowledge, this Sex Offender Updates site isn't actively targeting anyone for now (though they have a few anti-RSOL articles up that are basically copy-paste jobs of old Evil Unveiled and AZU bullshit). However, I must raise awareness on this site because they are promoting violence against registered citizens:

Vigilante Thug Jay Maynor is not "Hero"; Vigilante Violence is NEVER "Justice"

Jeremy and Christine Moody -- Skinhead "Heroes"
How do we rehabilitate a sex offender? They cannot be fixed, what they can do, is convinced the Psychologists that they are ‘fixed’ and they are safe to be released into society. The only cure for child abusers and molesters is to have every member of their immediate family killed. These nefarious crimes and people should not be allowed to procreate. By destroying their immediate family members, you purify the blood line. This is the only way to ensure that they (the pervert or family) cannot ever hurt a child again. Liberals will think that these statements are immature and that I must be empty headed. How many people consider the children that were abused or molested? What about the mental destruction that this child has to live with for the rest of their lives? How these children will find it difficult to ever trust another person. How these children may possibly never be able to have children of their own, because they were raped so severe, that it damaged them permanently? I don't think my suggestion is immature, I think it's the only answer, and if you don't agree, then you two should be destroyed[i].” – Jeremy Moody, “Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow.” Lulu Publishing, 2012. p.5

On Sunday, June 8, 2014, Jay Maynor[ii] of Cullman, Alabama shot and killed Raymond Earl Brooks, a registered citizen, who had served time for a sex crime against Maynor’s daughter 12 years ago[iii]. As with any story involving so-called “vigilante justice,” there are plenty of individuals coming out of the woodwork proclaiming this man a “hero.” The killer’s family has set up a Facebook page[iv] and a defense fund[v], and has raised $1500 in 10 days (the listed goal is $5000). A few of the comments from the fundraiser page are frightening and disturbing indeed:

There is no room in this world for pedophiles. They cannot be rehabilitated, and there is no cure. They should all be chucked off a boat and left for sharks.” – Holly Perkins

We have several sexual offenders living around us. Unless they start neutering them, I am with Mr. Maynor kind of justice.” – Kat Perry, who donated $5.00

As a survivor of abuse I support Mr. Maynor for seeking justice for his daughter. This demon should have never been allowed to walk the streets again, to have the chance to abuse another child. You are a hero to me Mr. Maynor.” – Jeanna Phillips, who donated $20.00

Jay Maynor's Mugshot
A woman by the name of Kayla Maddux[vi], whose Facebook picture is a blue variation of the “Keep Calm” internet meme proclaiming “Keep Calm and Free Jaybird,” posted a comment to detractors at the Cullman Times, stating, “Dont [sic] go trying to tell facts when you dont know them.” When has the lack of facts stop the mass media from exploiting the tragedy for ratings? Even though the AP story didn’t mention the shooter’s name to “protect the victim’s identity,” they had no reservations posting the victim’s mug shot and proclaim him a sex offender[vii]. The lack of details didn’t stop Catherine Connors, an executive with the Walt Disney Company and “award winning blogger,” from writing a post on the Nancy Grace HLN site hinting that what Maynor did, although legally wrong, is understandable and she would be tempted to do the same thing. Connors states, “I know, if something like this happened to me, I might be tempted to do wrong, too[viii].” Michelle Lund from CrimeJail.com called the victim’s father a “pedo-sympathizer” and claimed that Cullman County Sheriff Mike Rainey cares more about sex offenders than “a father who had to watch her child suffer[ix].” Dr. Drew’s “Behavioral Bureau” also added their two cents[x]. HLN is notorious for focusing on stories such as this one.

The Dr. Drew show deserves a more in-depth critique. I have had the privilege of taking on Dr. Drew’s “Behavior Bureau” on two occasions in the past year. This is how the Bureau works – the show invites a panel of personalities to come on the show to discuss various topics, and not all of the panelists have explicit knowledge of the subject at hand. For this particular episode, the panelists were Leeann Tweeden, a TV sportscaster for poker and baseball’s Anaheim Angels, Anahita Sedaghatfar, a civil defense attorney and TV analyst, and Jason Ellis, a journeyman MMA fighter (who only fought two matches) who hosts a show on Sirius XM radio. Out of three individuals, only one has any degree of criminal justice experience, so the outcome of the show should come as no surprise.

Defense attorney Anahita Sedaghatfar stated she was against vigilante violence and that we can't be allowed to take the law into our own hands, but in the end, she still stated, “I would definitely defend [Maynor]. I think he has a strong case for mitigation in terms of sentencing.” As expected, the discussion simply went downhill from this point. Leeann Tweeden stares glaringly into the camera and proudly proclaims, “You do that to my child, I will shoot you in the head.” Jason Ellis gave the strangest statement of all. So, I don`t wanna -- I already said what I had to say, this -- when you bring up the extra -- I mean, I didn`t remember until I was 40 who the guy was that molested me. So, I didn`t know until I was about 26 that I`d been molested. I had to take a bunch of acid and they also recall it. Then, at 40 I find out who it is, because my body can`t even handle knowing who it is. You did that to that girl in that fashion, I don`t need to be related to the girl, I`ll kill him right now [xi].” It is interesting that Jason Ellis just stated that he “recalled” abuse that happened decades ago. (The False Memory Syndrome[xii] controversy continues, but that is a discussion for a different day.) The point is whether we want a person who took headshots for a living (like Ellis) or some “eye-candy” model who peddles her body for a living (like Weeden) to dictate the rules of society, especially not knowing the whole story behind the murders.

Returning to Kayla Maddux’s statement about knowing “all the facts,” supplemental articles have put together the facts. This is the complete story up until this point. The day of the murder, Jay Maynor got into an argument with his stepdaughter’s boyfriend (investigators say there was “bad blood” between the two men), and apparently, somewhere along the way, the boyfriend used the sexual abuse narrative to criticize Maynor, sending him into a rage. Maynor pulled out a gun and shot into the Berlin Quick Mart gas station where the boyfriend was sitting. Maynor then went to the home of Raymond Earl Brooks and ambushed him, killing him in the home of his parents. The defense made the claim that a “catalyst” or “triggering event” that should considered mitigating factors for lowering his bail[xiii].

It is rather ironic that the term “trigger” was used Maynor’s defense since pulling a gun trigger landed Maynor in jail. The term “Trigger Warning” (or TW for short) is a relatively new buzzword. “In the area of mental health, a trigger is something which causes instant distress in a vulnerable person. If you know what can trigger a bad reaction, you can try to avoid those triggers in the same way that someone with an allergy might take steps to avoid dogs.” Trigger warnings first appeared on feminist websites to flag up stories of abuse[xiv]. This word is particularly dangerous because, in the words of Rhiannon Cosslett, triggers “smacked to me of victimhood.” Cosslett does not believe triggers hinder free speech, but states, “they do display an increasingly nannying approach to language that is being used to shut down discourse and to silence. Often, it is coupled with a sense of passive aggressive glee…I do not doubt that they are of enormous service to survivors with specific triggers likely to reoccur on feminist websites, but it has got to a point now where I feel women I have never met are trying to wrap me in cotton wool, and I detest that. PTSD can make you hypersensitive and hyper-aware…[xv]”Furthermore, trigger words perpetuates cultural victimhood; as one example, college campuses are considering placing trigger warnings on classic literature because people do not like feeling even slightly uncomfortable. As one RT reporter proclaimed, “Our kids WANT to be nannied. They WANT to be protected, and feel safe, and coddled [xvi].” And fear justifies some very atrocious behavior, like canonizing a man who shoots into a business establishment because he later killed a pariah of society.

When society canonizes a vigilante, society overlooks a lot of things; however, we should not forget Maynor’s actions have harmed many people, not just the murdered Registrant. Those victimized by Maynor’s actions found Maynor to be anything but heroic.

At Maynor’s bond hearing, “Cullman County District Attorney Wilson Blaylock called two witnesses, Jeremy Trimble and Bobby Weeks, who were present for the gas station shooting. Trimble testified he was present in the store at the time of the shooting and claimed one of the stray bullets came within 10 feet of hitting his child. ‘I was alarmed for my son’s safety and it made my heart stop,” he said. “He tried to shoot someone and shot another man.’Weeks was attending a child’s birthday party at the karaoke business located beside the gas station and said he heard a gun shot then looked outside to see Maynor with a gun drawn chasing another man. At that point, Weeks said he gathered the children together and took them inside for safety. ‘It sounded like he was yelling, ‘Come here you motherfucker,’ Weeks testified. ‘It scared me and the kids[xvii].’”

Jay Maynor shows us how he feels about society's rules
“Mike Hays, who cooks and operates a small barbecue restaurant inside Berlin Plaza Quick Stop, where the shooting occurred, said he came face-to-face with the shooter after the man opened fire outside and then entered the store looking for his intended victim, who wasn't hurt. ‘People here are calling him a hero for killing a child molester. I'm calling him a psychopathic lunatic for endangering peoples' lives, including mine,’ Hays said. After stopping his motorcycle at an intersection outside the store, the father fired once at a man who was standing beside an ice cooler, Hays said. The bullet entered an exterior wall of the store and chipped a window but no one was injured. Hays said he retrieved his own weapon and confronted [Maynor] near the cash register. ‘He had the gun down by his side. He was calm, as calm as you are standing there now. But he had that look in his eye,’ said Hays. ‘I have no problem with him shooting a child molester, just not 12 years later. If it was my daughter he would have died back in 2002[xviii].’”

“Brooks' father, Ralph Brooks, told WBRC-TV in Birmingham that his son did not deserve to die. He said Raymond Earl Brooks turned his life around after his conviction and lived a godly life that included being active in his church. Because his son's conviction happened so long ago, he said he couldn't be sure if the shooting was a form of revenge. ‘It would be unbelievable to hold animosity in your heart for 12 years,’ Brooks said[xix].”

It should not be surprising with anyone that Jay Maynor had a criminal history. Maynor had made several court appearances over the years—once for DUI and three times for domestic violence (though the domestic violence charges were eventually dropped). It is laughable Maynor’s defense attorney brought these prior charges up in attempt to show the court that Maynor would come to court responsibly and should thus receive a lower bond. Thankfully bail was not reduced[xx].

This story has played out numerous times over the years. This brings me to the statement by Jeremy Moody at the beginning of this article. Moody’s proclamation could have been written just as easily by any anonymous commenter. But Moody’s proclamation was written in a self-written skinhead manifesto, alongside discussions on racial purity and ethnic cleansing. (Ironically, the head of Moody’s skinhead group, known as “Crew 41,” is a Registered Citizen[xxi].) Patrick Drum, who murdered two registrants in Washington State in 2012, had 47 criminal convictions over a 15 year period, including assault, drug, and burglary charges. One of his victims landed on the list for a consensual act with a teen when he was 17 years old. Drum and the Moody clan were unrepentant thugs with disgusting pasts. Had they killed anyone else, society would not have given any of them a second thought except to call for the heads of these men on a silver platter. But because their victims were Registered Citizens, people want to give murderers a free pass.
Even the Neo-Nazi skinhead Jeremy Moody had support from the public, as illustrated by this statement from a CNN commenter:

Kimberly269life – “In this case the dude had been convicted of a sex crime on a child!where is the good old killemall mindset we normally apply to pedophiles? What is your prob people? Pedophilia is a well known incurable condition-even castration doesn not cure this despicable condition in many men! He def needed killing. His wife on the other hand seems to have been collateral damage-but thats the price you pay for being connected to child molesters! Its true that many wives allow crimes against children-their own and others-by doing nothing and turning away. They are culpable. They are helping ! Nazis and other white supremists are really disgusting people-yes-but the pedophile is probably even lower ...frankly its a win/win from what I can see[xxii]” [Kimberly’s grammatical errors included]

The vigilante violence and the people who support them are definitive proof the registry, or any degree of public disclosure of Registered Citizens in the community, should be abolished. Until the registry is abolished, we will see this same story play out repeatedly in the coming years. Patt Morrison from the LA Times says, “Justice in a democracy cannot be some tit-for-tat clan vendetta, or determined by bribes or bias. It must be the dispassionate act of the people and the state, whose good order and laws have been violated. Vigilante justice erodes the authority and regard for a legal system that can’t be about vengeance or passion… And when an Alabama father or a California mother usurps that role, they are not heroes, because vengeance is not justice. And justice, not just someone’s child, becomes a victim too[xxiii].”The registry is a “catalyst” and a “trigger event” that enrages the community, and when a person is assaulted or murdered because of this registry, justice is perverted.

Real or fake? Alleged vigilante beating video going viral

The thing about the internet is anything can be posted at any time. A video claims to be of a set-up of a would be "pedophile," where he is attacked by a couple of thugs. It is interesting this happens right in front of children, so if this is real, it is disturbing that people would put little kids in danger for the sake of a viral video. Either these wannabe thugs are stupid, or they staged the whole thing. I have posted stories here in the past where people were set up and falsely accused. If we have learned anything from the idiots at Perverted-Justice, it is that private citizens have no business running sting operations.

I'm not surprised that the online thugs like Valerie Parkhurst approve of this. I hope these two punks serve prison time for this.

Georgia Vigilantes Beat Up Potential Sex Predator At Their House (Video)

By Jonathan Wolfe, Thu, December 26, 2013
A group of young Georgia men are attracting some attention after posting a video of themselves beating up a potential sexual predator. The video, titled “To Catch a Predator with VillainPros” was posted yesterday and has been viewed over 13,000 times as of this writing.

The video starts with a message from the self-described VillainPros.

“The other night our homie hit us up and said that his 13 year old sister came to him and said that this grown ass man that had already been talking to her friend hit her up on [Facebook] and wanted to bring over some beer and ‘hang out.’ He was under the impression that she was home alone and made it very clear in his messages what he tryna do...the Villains had other plans for him.”

On the video, the 28-year-old man who had been messaging a young girl walks through the door of the house. Immediately, a man comes from the corner of the room and lands a punch to the his head. He is knocked to the ground and several of the other ‘Villains’ kick and punch him as he lays on the ground.

The video ends with a message from the poster saying they cut the camera off before having a “real talk” with him.

While it’s easy to get riled up and applaud the young men for stopping a potential sexual predator, there is a problem with this video. The entire attack is not only filmed, but also illegal. Regardless of the 28-year-old man’s intentions, he can now press charges against his assailants with hard evidence to back up his claims.

If these men were smart, they would have detained the man and called police. He would have been investigated and likely landed himself a lifelong spot on the sex offenders registry if he were really up to what he seemed to be. But instead, these vigilantes may now find themselves in jail in his place.

Would-be vigilante busted for making pipe bombs to kill registered citizens

I wouldn't be surprised if this man was connected to one of the various online vigilante groups out there.

Shiloh man charged in plot to kill registered sex offenders
Posted on: 5:41 pm, October 4, 2013, by Rebecca Roberts, updated on: 09:56pm, October 4, 2013

SHILOH, IL (KTVI) – An active duty airman man is charged with possession of three pipe bombs.  According to the criminal complaint, his goal was, “to inflict as many casualties as possible.”

Twenty-four year-old Justin VanGilder works at Scott Air Force Base.  The complaint states that he was suicidal, but didn’t only want to kill himself.  The Shiloh resident specifically wanted to detonate these bombs to kill child molesters. And he already had some local addresses.

This all started on Thursday, when a witness told authorities that while he was visiting VanGilder at his home on Twin Oaks Drive, the 24 year-old pulled three pipe bombs out of a briefcase, along with bomb-making equipment.

Later that day, the FBI, along with U.S. Air Force investigators, quickly evacuated surrounding houses, searched VanGilder’s home, and safely disposed of the bombs.

U.S. Attorney Steven Wigginton explains, “They’re basically IED’s, improvised explosive devices, and they can be quite lethal as we’ve seen and experienced as a nation with the casualties and fatalities in Iraq and Afghanistan.”

VanGilder made these wartime explosives right at home. The report states he’d made two of them six years ago, and was saving them for the right moment.  “They’re packed with explosive material, along with shrapnel, razor blades, metal balls, anything can inflict damage on the human body,” says Wigginton, “Unfortunately they are easy to make, and that’s a real threat.”

“I didn’t expect anything like that to be going on around here,” says neighbor Bobby Dancy.  But another neighbor, Jim Marshbank, has a hunch why it would: “I think sometimes people pick nice neighborhoods where you never see police cars go up and down the streets, and they pick those areas because they’re looking to stay quiet and not draw attention.”

VanGilder is charged with three counts of Possession of an Unregistered Destructive Device.  He could be sentenced up to 10 years in prison, along with a fine and period of supervised release.  VanGilder is in federal custody, with an arraignment scheduled for Monday.

The Probable Cause Statement from police is posted below:

Wannabe vigilante gets balls blown off

Look, I don't support kids being abused. But if you think your kid is being abused, then go to the police with it. Don't try to play vigilante, because you run the risk of something like this.

Man has heart attack after being shot in groin
Niece's boyfriend, 2nd suspect arrested

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) -- A West Haven man is in critical condition after being shot in the groin while confronting a man who allegedly assaulted his niece, police said.

The incident happened around 1 a.m. Monday, on Peck Street.

Police said 52-year-old Mickey Tillery, of West Haven, was shot in the groin after he confronted the man about a domestic dispute with his niece.

According to police, the victim of the domestic dispute had called her mother, telling her she'd been assaulted by her boyfriend, 30-year-old Jermaine Reddick.

The victim's mother and her uncle, Tillery, then drove there from West Haven. Reddick ended up shooting Tillery before fleeing with a friend in a grey Ford Escort station wagon.

The vehicle was spotted and stopped at Church and Chapel streets. Reddick, who was the passenger, was taken into custody. His gun, a 9mm Springfield Armory XD pistol was in his possession and retrieved, police said.

Reddick was wanted for a parole violation and was being sought by State Police.

Tillery was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital, where he suffered a heart attack. He remains in critical, but stable condition.

Reddick was charged with first-degree assault, criminal possession of a firearm, unlawful discharge of a firearm, first-degree reckless endangerment, carrying a weapon in a motor vehicle, third-degree domestic assault, risk of injury to a minor, and criminal use of a firearm.

His accomplice, 21-year-old Akeem Whitely, of Cedar Hill Avenue, in New Haven, was charged with conspiracy to commit first-degree assault, reckless endangerment, hindering prosecution, and weapon in a motor vehicle.
